The Stained Glass Windows of A J Davies of the
Bromsgrove Guild Worcestershire
This Bromsgrove artist-craftsman was educated in Birmingham and trained at the Birmingham School of Art in the Arts and Crafts style. Davies (1877-1953) established his studio at the Bromsgrove Guild in 1906 and worked there until his death in 1953.
Davies designs, studio personnel, commissions and patronage are discussed. A gazetteer gives details of 240 of his British windows. Fifty colour photographs illustrate the range of his work.

This book is devoted to the life and work of Bromsgrove artist-craftsman and his son Peter. Trained at the Birmingham School of Art, after a period in the stained glass studio of the Bromsgrove Guild, Lemmon set up his own studio in Bromsgrove in 1927.As well commissions for stained glass decorative art work included painted panels, altarpieces, crosses, candlesticks and banners. Includes gazetteers of Lemmons stained glass windows and decorative art work, and 28 Colour and black and white photographs.
