Bank Holiday Tales!
Tristan & Iseult: A Storytelling event by Mark Steinhardt[
The Stained Glass Museum Gallery
Monday 26 August

Set in the time of King Arthur, the ancient love story of Tristan & Iseult first became popular in the twelfth century. In modern times hundreds of writers, from Wagner to Tom Waits, have created their own versions of the story.

Come and hear Mark Steinhardt’s retelling of this Celtic love-tangle, in front of the stained glass window at The Stained Glass Museum which inspired his version of the story.
The stained glass window was made in 1900 by J S Sparrow, self-styled 'Wagner of stained glass'.
Mark Steinhardt has, through his research, insight and consummate powers of storytelling, created portable pleasure, a new work of art.
7.30 pm (doors open from 7 pm)

Tickets: £5 (suitable for ages 14+). Refreshments and chairs provided. For more information, and to book tickets, please phone 01353 660347 or email shop@stainedglassmuseum.com
