|TRAINING EXCHANGE LAUNCHED ON ICON WEBSITE
Want to advertise a short placement opportunity in your workshop?
The Institute of Conservation’s new Training Exchange is a virtual noticeboard where organisations and employers can advertise work-based training placements, and where people seeking internships and short periods of work experience can post their details for prospective hosts ' to see. The only rule for employers is that the placements on offer should be genuine short-term professional development or student training opportunities, and not formal long-term paid employment. Anyone can post up details of a placement, without being an Icon member. You can also look through details of potential candidates offering services by going to the “People” section of the site and browsing the pdfs there
Seeking a short placement or internship?
The Training Exchange can also be used as a noticeboard to post up your own career details and profile. Use the form provided on the website to advertise your details for prospective hosts’ perusal. To post your “cv” and to view placements on offer you must be an Icon member. To post your own details, download the seeker's template, fill it in and e-mail to email@example.com. Your name and contact details will not be visible to browsers; Icon will only give out your full details when they make an enquiry.
For more details on the service, go to the Education & Training section of the Icon website: http://www.icon.org.uk/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=470&Itemid=52
