Rachel Mulligan Associate

My first degree was in Fine Art and I then studied stained glass at Central St Martins in the early nineties, and an MA in Public Art at Chelsea. My first public commission was for a school in Sunderland. Since then I have made windows for a hospital in Ham, a public hall in Isleworth and a museum in Haslemere. I have also undertaken many private commissions including my most recent window ‘Birds and Beech Tree’.

My work is concerned with detail, representation and narrative. The stained glass medium adds luminosity, vibrancy and colour. The restraints of the medium are always an interesting challenge.
