Jane was born in Reading, however she has lived and worked almost all of her adult life in Scotland. After a local evening class she studied at the Architectural Stained Glass Department of West Glamorgan Institute of Higher Education (now the University of Wales Trinity St David) in Swansea.
Jane attended Master Classes with internationally renowned stained glass artists Paul San Casciani, Jochem Ponsgen, Jocheem Closs, Johannes Schreiter and Patrick Reyntiens OBE. She opened the purpose-built Abbey Studio, near Aberdeen, in 1985 and since then has produced a steady stream of high-quality restoration and new commissions in stained glass.
In addition to stained glass, Jane has always had a passion for life drawing and painting in oils and other media and to further this she has studied at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen as well as several private courses at Edinburgh, Bristol and Santa Fe.
