The Glaziers offer two work placement awards and the awards for 2024 have now been launched. Deadline for both the 15 week Ashton Hill Award, and 30 week Lever Award is noon 27 March 2024. Interviews will take place on 17 May 2024.

The work placement awards offer funded work placements to emerging stained glass artists and conservators. The Ashton Hill gives the successful candidate access to a training and skills fund of £750 and £5,775 (£385 per week). The Lever Award offers a training and skills fund of £1,000 and £11,550 (£385 per week).

Continuing Professional Development Awards are given to help practitioners with at least five years’ work experience to broaden their professional skills. This can include professional development for technical or creative skills, and for accreditation as conservators. Applications for funding may be made for attendance at masterclasses or conferences as well as for structured courses. You can find out more here.

The Arthur and Helen Davis Travelling Scholarship allows the winner to develop their study and knowledge of glass through travel. Recent winners have visited the USA, France, Germany, Iceland and the Czech Republic. The Travelling Scholarship is awarded every two years. Contact the Glaziers for more information.
