We are delighted that the Centenary Touring Exhibition, which features 60 stained glass panels made by our members, is now on display in Stourbridge for the celebration of glass that takes over the whole town.

The International Festival of Glass began in 2004 and takes place every two years (three due to Covid). It showcases some of the world’s best glass and features master classes, demonstrations, workshops and much more. It includes the British Glass Biennale, a juried exhibition with an array of awards, and this year one of the prize winners was stained glass artist Juilet Forrest. Congratulations Juliet!

Five of our artists will be giving a free talk on Bank Holiday Monday at midday in Hunter Studio at the Ruskin Glass Centre. Tamsin Abbott, Surinder Warboys, Sophie Hacker, Nathalie Hildegrade Liege and Helen Robinson will give an illustrated talk about their inspirations and projects. Please go along and support them if you are visiting the Festival on Monday.

We hope to exhibit our members work again at the 2024 festival and look forward to strengthening our ties with the wider glass community.
