Stained Glass – Connection & Collaboration

Please join the British Society of Master Glass Painters for an exciting edition of our annual Discussion Day on Friday 13thSeptember, Glaziers Hall, London.

Organised by the new Artists Working Group, the theme for this year’s Discussion Day is Connection & Collaboration. It is intended to empower artistic expression and foster future collaborations by inspiring practitioners to creatively connect and strengthen their professional relationships.

The morning will be spent listening to our guest speakers Amber Hiscott and Bethany Wood. They will reflect on collaborative projects they have each been involve with and how the connection aided in their success. Amber Hiscott works internationally as an innovative architectural glass artist from her studio in Wales. Her large scale commissioned works are in many public settings. Bethany Wood is the founder of Blowfish Glass Gallery in Stourbridge, a town that has a rich glass-making history dating back to the 17th century. She produces her own range of glassware as well as running workshops to share her passion for glass blowing. The morning will finish in a panel discussion and Q&A’s.

The afternoon will provide a ‘Show & Tell’ opportunity for participants to share a project or piece of work. It will include an informal networking session in a friendly and helpful atmosphere.

We will be right next to the Thames, besides London Bridge, at the beautiful Guild Hall of the Worshipful Company of Glaziers and Painters of Glass. Tea and coffee are provided but not lunch. Borough Market is around the corner, with loads of quality options for a fantastic lunch. There are pubs close by for evening drinks.

The Discussion Day will be beneficial for practitioners at any stage in their career and enthusiasts alike, as well as those from other disciplines such as architecture and interior design who can use it as a Continuing Professional Development opportunity. Don’t miss out on this interactive event to advance your creative understanding, show your work and forge new connections.

The British Society of Master Glass Painters is very grateful to the Worshipful Company of Glaziers for hosting the event.

Friday 13 September 10.30-4.30 at Glaziers Hall. Tickets £37.40 for members, £44 for non-members for the whole day.
