Around the World with Lamberts Glass

In 2023 the traditional method of hand-blown flat glass production was recognised and awarded UNESCO Intangible World Cultural Heritage status. Lamberts have been making glass in the traditional way for over a hundred years from their glassworks in the small town of Waldsassen in the south east of Germany. The company produces over 5,000 different colours and textures of hand-made glass that are used by artists and conservators in their workshops around the world to make into stunning stained glass windows.

Christian Baierl, Managing Director of Glashütte Lamberts Waldsassen, will give us a talk on their production methods and show us examples of the art that incorporates their beautiful glass.
