Index Volume I

Note. Each of the five numbers or parts of the Journal composing this volume is paginated separately. The upper case Roman numerals in the Index entries refer to the volume number and the lower case Roman numerals refer to the parts. A page reference in italic type indicates a black and white illustration. The plates, although not themselves numbered, are more treated as five separate serifs, abbreviation Pl., Roman numerals.
A name of a place without further n. indicates a reference to glass actually or recorded as formerly existing there.
A name of a person without further not, indicates an artist of glass actually or recorded as formerly existing. In the case of a medieval artist, where the reference is as a rule to a quotation from a document, the Christian names are given; in that of a modern artist, initials only in addition to the surname.
References following the names of Officers and Members of the Society are to the pages where they first occur.
