The Artists Working Group has been established to provide a platform for stained glass artists and craftspeople to come together to innovate, share and inspire.

In line with the core values of the Society, the aims of the Artists Working Group are to help practitioners navigate and adapt to our changing craft, uphold traditional techniques, investigate innovative processes and inspire the next generation of stained glass craftspeople. We believe it is of the upmost importance to support one another and promote equal opportunities for all.

It is an exciting and profound time to contribute to the stained glass community. The recent reclassification of traditional stained glass window making from viable to endangered has galvanised the Society to prepare a series of initiatives to counter any loss in trade and knowledge.

The group will assist the British Society of Master Glass Painters Council to establish new educational support systems, organise regional events, engage the public with our awareness campaign, improve professional opportunities and connect with our national and international community through dynamic themed webinars.

Make sure to find us on Instagram @artistswgroup_bsmgp for regular posts on glass opportunities, industry updates and events. If you would like to contribute or would like the support of the Artists Working Group, please get in contact via social media or by email to artist@bsmgp.org.uk
