Like trying to find a good builder, searching for the right stained glass artist for a commission can be tricky. Asking for recommendations and searching locally can yield some results but it may be necessary to look further afield. It is important that you see the artist’s work, preferably in situ, and select them on that basis. Find an artist whose work resonates with you and it will be easier for them to interpret your needs. Why not start with a look at the Portfolio pages on our website which showcase stained glass by our accredited Fellows and Associates?

A good artist may well have a waiting list so it is worth contacting them to discuss your schedule if you would like a stained glass project for a particular deadline. And it is best to discuss a budget before embarking on any serious design work to make sure you are both on the same page.

Please see a more detailed description about commissioning work on the How to commission a stained glass window page.
