Having developed their interest in stained glass in the early 1970s and learning their trade at the studio of Jasper & Mollie Kettlewell, Judy and her husband Keith went on the establish their own studio in Staplehurst, Kent. There they remained for nearly forty years before moving to Rochester.
As well as designing and producing new work the studio covers the care, restoration and conservation of stained glass from medieval to modern.
Judy's particular specialism is the meticulous reproduction of figured glass, where the original has been damaged beyond repair. She particularly enjoys the challenge of matching, as near as possible, the colour of the glass and the paint used and also the painting style of the original artist. She has been an Associate of the British Society of Master Glass Painters since 1984.
