Sally trained initially as a painter and this has had an influence on her glasswork. She is very experienced in seeing what is required for the many and varied commissions that she has completed over long years of practice. She uses a variety of techniques, preferring to work with mouth-blown glass where possible.

After eighteen years in her rural Somerset studio, where she carried out a number of church commissions, Sally moved to Bath. She recently completed an abstract glass installation for the local hospital’s Spiritual Care Centre that serves people of all beliefs.

She has exhibited widely and offers lectures on the history and making of glass for architecture.
